Update:
Ethan was diagnosed with Anaplastic Ependymoma - WHO grade III, in May, 2018. He had surgery t remove the brain tumor and followed up with 30 rounds of radiation. In May, 2019 the cancer reoccured only this time it was two tumors in his spine. He had surgery again and another 30 rounds of radiation. In November, 2019 Ethan had a completely clear (no tumors!) brain and spine MRI. Then February, 2020 he started to experience an off and on head pain. He had an MRI ad it showed four brain tumors. Radiation was done to prolong his life. Surgery and radiation are no longer options. Ethan is currently on comfort care. The family is holding on to Jesus as they make the most of each day Ethan is with them.
Please join us in supporting the Haley family during a marathon of health crises. Right on the heels of months of sickness and finally healing for their oldest son Israel, younger son Ethan was diagnosed this week with a brain tumor. We ask for prayers for strength and healing, and also for financial support to ease the burden of back to back major medical events.
A few more details: Israel suffered from appendicitis this winter which lead to a ruptured appendix, with surgery January 1st. He ended up in and out of the hospital until mid-April due to ongoing infections and a liver abscess. He is now healthy once again.
During Israel's last hospital stay, Ethan started showing symptoms, and was finally diagnosed with a brain tumor via MRI on Monday. He will have surgery this Thursday to find what type of tumor it is and determine further treatment. The prognosis is optimistic!
It has been a season of vigilance, long drives to Rochester, and time spent in hospitals, with even more to come. Every donation is a gift of love and support for this amazing family.
