Help us help Shelley

On November 25th, my cousin Shelley Carrow had a tragic accident in which has left her being paralyzed from the waist down. She was helping take down a shelter and fell off of the roof 20 feet and landed on her bottom. When she fell it shattered her lower back and there was a piece of broken bone that cut off the circulation to her spinal cord resulting in her not being able to move her legs. She was rushed to the nearest hospital in Spartanburg, South Carolina an was there for 2 weeks . While she was in the hospital they left her laying in the bed for 5 days in excruciating pain until they finally decided to do her surgery on November 29th, they placed a cage as well as 8 screws at her lower back to help allow her to sit up and take some pressure off of that area. After her surgery they worked with her in the SC hospital for about a week and a half and then she was transferred back to NC to a rehab center in the hospital in Greenville. The staff are working very hard and closely with Shelley to try to help her regain any feeling in her legs/feet. She is currently out of work and has no kind of income at the moment. Once Shelley comes home there will be many renovations that will need to be done in the home for her to have easy access to her surroundings. We will have to remodel the bathroom, her bedroom, as well as make adjustments to the living room and kitchen so she will be able to maneuver around easily. We want this transition to be as simple and smooth as possible for her to come home and not have to worry about anything.

All donations will go to her bills as well the renovations of the home and help out with any expenses that may come up to ensure that the family will not have any other stress to endure during this tough transition.
