"To the world, you are a dad.
To our family, you are the world."

December 28th, 1949 the man we have the privilege to call our father was born into this world fighting for his life. Born a preemie, this man wasn't guaranteed to live past a few hours in the hospital. From that moment on he decided he was going to live. To show courage and strength in the eyes of tribulations.  He fought numerous unaccountable hospital visits from accidents, to heart issues, each time just fighting harder to survive and live his life. He was known as the man with 9 lives. Anyone and everyone who knows him, knows how true this is.

August 27th, 2019, he had a major stroke. Damaging the entirety of his left hemisphere of the brain. He was admitted into a skilled nursing facility, and was showing progression towards healing, so he was sent home for home health. Over the course of December 2019, into January 2020, he has shown regression, and we had to make a decision to make him comfortable as his 9th life is transitioning himself to be with the angels above. Now that we watch him get closer to meeting our Lord and Savior (with all the difficulties it comes with seeing the human body give up especially watching our own dad) we want nothing but the best for him and to honor his wishes. As all of this has been unexpected it leaves us not only worrying about each other and uplifting one another but the financial part that burdens us as well.

Our dads wishes were to to always be cremated and thrown in the ocean and sprinkled all over the world with the encouragement of having us kids travel and see the many sunsets and sunrises as he did being a truck driver. We know that when it comes to his last breath any day now he will be dancing with James Brown and B. B. King in heaven guiding and watching over us. He will be the guardian angel for his two grandchildren who he loved and cherished. Our hearts are heavy but knowing that he won’t be in anymore pain or suffering is the best thing we can ever give our dad. Anything helps; from our family to yours, hug everyone tighter and love on them harder as we never know what plan God has for each of us.
