In Memory of Eileen

It’s every kids nightmare to find out one of their parents is sick. It’s even worse when there’s nothing that can be done to make them better. My best friend Taylor has never had it “easy” but this years holidays were even harder then expected. Only a few days before Christmas, her beloved mom found out she had stage 4 lung cancer. Even after receiving this life altering news Taylor was trying her very best to keep both of their chins up. She told me all about a bucket list she created so they could make the most of what time would allow. Unfortunately things progressed extremely fast. Within days they found out the cancer had spread.

Due to the severity of the cancer her mother was unable to return to work, and shortly ended up in hospice. She is currently trying to stay comfortable while enjoying the last moments of time she has with her family and daughter. Taylor has put everything she has into the last couple of weeks with her mom. Because of the constant doctors appointments and care for her mom, she had no choice but to take some time off from work.

I made this gofundme for my very best friend, my person, the one who is always there when I need her most. Even though I can’t give her more time with her mom, I hope this will help alleviate some of her stress that is in the near future. Her mom did not have plans for when this day came - No one knew it would be so soon. I have been trying to think of any way I can assist her, and truly this is the only thing that may help in the tiniest way. Any amount is greatly appreciated.
