BROTHERS and SISTERS - Mark's Fundraiser for the Land Trust

Donation protected
After exhibiting over four decades in public venues, in the UK and US, the collection of his pen and ink pointillism portraits of the wide range of human faces, artist Mark Zenick is donating all of his original Brothers and Sisters portraits to the charity, Bishops Castle Community Land Trust. These portraits will be hanging permanently on a wall in that organization's public space in the very heart of the small town, Bishops Castle, located in the hills of western Shropshire, four miles from where Mark lives with his English wife, Marie.
Bishops Castle Community Land Trust has worked as a charity to buy and renovate affordable housing units for local residents. Its latest project is the creation of two apartments for rent, turning an adjoining large barn into a local Food Bank and managing a high profile public space on the ground floor of the building for public use.
Mark has committed to raise £15,000 to endow the permanent display of his Brothers and Sisters portraits for the public to visit and view. This £15,000 sum will compensate the Community Land Trust for perpetually renting that wall in the public space, for insurance, and for the responsibility of overseeing a lifetime's collection of Mark's original portraits.
This public display of Mark's art will hopefully attract visitors from outside the area, local residents and classes of school children, thus raising the awareness and support of the important work of the Community Land Trust, while visually celebrating the human kinship of all the subjects of Mark's lifetime creation of Brothers and Sisters portraits.
All are invited to donate to make possible the securing of a special publicly accessible permanent home for Mark's Brothers and Sisters original portraits which will, on an accompanying banner, ask everyone who views this exhibition the essential question, "Do we not all belong to each other".

All donations, as little as 5 GBP, will go to directly support the maintenance of this collection on the walls of the Community Land Trust hall. Absolutely no proceeds will go to Mark himself, all will go toward the maintenance of this collection in the public hall of the Bishops Castle Community Land Trust..
