Lady Business

Hello! We are the SENSE Leadership Academy, a group of five 8th grade girls passionate about advocating for our school community. We are fundraising money to buy 3 period product dispensers for our school bathrooms. These dispensers are essential because food stamps do not cover period products. Many girls miss school because they do not have the right products for their period. We have currently made temporary bins to have pads and tampons in. However, these bins are easily tampered with and can be moved around. The mounted wall dispensers are less susceptible to vandalism. We will also be creating educational and inspirational posters for the restrooms. Our hope is to reduce period poverty in our school and destigmatize periods.
