Support Samuel's Family Through Tough Times

I am humbly reaching out to the universe.

Hello, my name is Samuel Paing, and I am 16 years old attending The Bronx High School of Science. Our family is facing significant hardships and I do not have anywhere to turn to. On May 26th, my father left the house to play soccer with his friends and never made it back home. This was a once-a-week joy for him- the only time he dedicated to himself. He passed away from a sudden heart attack. I did not have time to grieve but wondered “how will I now support this family as the head of a household?” 

My mother, Kee Jae Lee, has been battling cancer and has an ATM gene mutation that prevents her from suppressing the cancer. Additionally, she suffers from asthma attacks, panic disorder, and rheumatoid arthritis, which makes it impossible for her to work. I also have a younger brother- 13 years old who suffered a serious concussion at school and is still suffering from diagnosed head trauma and depression. 

Dad was a good father to us. He was busy supporting the three of us while working as a Jeweler to put food on the table. He was a good husband taking care of his sick wife, and he was a good father making sure all our needs were met. He woke up early in the morning and prepared breakfasts every day before going to work. He selflessly worked for our family and now he is gone.

My dream since childhood was to become a doctor. After my brother's concussion, I narrowed down my dream to becoming a neurologist. My dad was so proud of the specialty I chose. At school, I worked towards my dream and it brought me joy every time I saw pride in my dad's eyes.

When my mom was diagnosed with cancer, I still held on strong.

When my brother was diagnosed with head trauma l, I still held on strong.

Now, I am lost. 

I don't know where to turn to. My only guidance disappeared.

Now, I am putting my pride down, opening my family situation, and humbly asking the universe for help.

Please keep us in your prayer.

Please help us so that my mom doesn't have to work.

Please help us so that I can finish high school and possibly attend college.
