This Friends Meetinghouse Needs Paint!
Tax deductible
Established in 1703 and rebuilt in 1863, the historic Little Egg Harbor Friends Meeting House needs exterior paint. This Meetinghouse has continuously provided sanctuary and peace to generations of Quakers and Tuckertonians since the founding of Tuckerton in 1699.
Friends Meetinghouses are a unique part of New Jersey history and can be located throughout our state and beyond. Meetinghouses are spiritual homes to Quakers, with their doors open to all.
The building and grounds have been maintained for literally hundreds of years. We hope to raise $20,000 to preserve this remarkable building, featured in the Library of Congress as part of a Historic American Building Survey and can be found at 21 East Main Street in Tuckerton.
