Quamie's Road to Recovery

Donation protected
In late October, our friend, Keisha Neblett, received a message that her only son, Quamie Neblett, was at the wrong place at the wrong time and sustained 5 gunshot wounds. Fortunately, he has survived the attack, however, he has been left with a damaged kidney and urethra, and is paralyzed from the waist down.

We are asking all our friends, families and anyone who has the means; to please help us out in raising funds for Keisha and her son for ongoing medical care for him. There are no traumatic spinal injury centers here in Barbados, so we are hoping we can have him get the therapy he needs locally with various therapists- or possibly abroad and help of a HHA (home health aide).

We have set a goal of $2k, but hoping we would get higher than that with your help!

Thank you all so much in advance, and we will leave you with a message from Keisha:

"Every day I'm thanking God for his mercy in sparing his life. His road to recovery is very challenging, both emotionally and financially. Quamie's kidney and urethra were damaged. As a result of that, he is wearing a urinary bag and is paralyzed from the waist down. The injuries my son sustained have caused him to need around-the-clock care. With me being a single parent, and having no one to care for him, I will have to take an extended leave of absence from my job to care for him."
