Help QUARRY improve its Garden Space in time for the Summer Months!

Since reopening following our January renovations, we have been overwhelmed by the support we have received from audiences, artists, and creatives within the city. Your continued encouragement and enthusiasm for our venue have meant the world to us, and we'd like to thank you all from the bottom of our hearts!

Now that we are approaching the Summer months, the next phase of our venue renovations primarily includes improving our garden area at the rear of the venue. These renovations include (1) extending and fencing off our garden space with additional seating and planters, (2) installing flooring/decking, and (3) improving the accessibility of the entryway for wheelchair users.

Unfortunately, due to increased cuts to grassroots art and culture public spending, and a recent breaking and entering at the rear of our premises, our plans to begin building work in May have been postponed. With warmer weather fast approaching, this development threatens to drastically undermine our plans to extend our opening hours during the Summer months with a brand new and fully improved garden space.

At present, we are awaiting news from an Arts Council England project grant to fund some of these new renovations. However, because this is a long process with no guarantees, we are once again asking for support from the community to allow us to purchase the materials required to begin our building work as scheduled.

Q U A RR Y is a community music venue, recording studio, and multimedia arts space located underneath Liverpool's historic railway arches, open since February 2020.

Set up by the team behind Quarry Recording Studio and SPINE, Quarry is a response to a lack of diversity rising in Liverpool's music events as a result of the closure of important grassroots venues and clubs since 2010. Hosting a range of events, from live music to experimental theatre, the team's ethos is to provide a consistently revolving line-up of new music in an accessible and safe space for Merseyside's creative communities.
