Her fight is OUR FIGHT

Hi. My name is Rebecca Warwick Anderson. I am desperate to find help for my sister-in-law, Sharon Warwick. In 2020 she had been feeling ill. She was airlifted to have what she was told was a liver abscess removed. She stayed in the hospital for a week and was sent home to recover with a picc line (catheter inserted for administering drugs) with powerful antibiotics. A year later the doctors realized she had liver cancer (Hepatocellular Carcinoma). They removed one-third of her liver and believed she would be cancer free. Unfortunately, her cancer has returned and has metastasized to her abdomen.

While Sharon is extremely thankful for all the support she has received from her family, co-workers, and the community, {she is grateful for her husband Dan driving her to her appointments (3.5 hours one way while they both miss work days)} she is still in need of more assistance. The bills keep piling up while she and Dan fight for her life.

Dan is the Saguache County Sheriff and Sharon continued to work at Safeway until the end of last year. They have had many days traveling to and from her doctor appointments and other issues involving cancer, i.e. MRIs, CAT scans, etc. The insurance they have does not cover all her expenses nor do they get additional help with travel expenses. Once her FMLA runs out, they will pay heavily for her insurance out of pocket. My hope is to share their story with you and ask that you donate to assist with reducing the financial toll on their family.

If you are still reading this, you are hopefully willing to donate. Sharon also has an incisional hernia from the surgery that removed her liver cancer. She is in a great deal of pain but cannot have more surgery at this time due to the cancer. She is in a very rough spot and taking some of the financial burdens from her will help them significantly. The next step will be radiation therapy and chemo. If these two methods do not work, she will be sent to a specialist who will perform another type of radiation therapy.
