Queer Art Faire - inclusive space for creativity
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Miche Wong, organizer of Queer Art Faire.
I'm an SF born and raised creative. I realized that many art fairs in San Francisco charge a lot of money to be a vendor, so I wanted to make a space where artists and makers of all financial abilities, races, ages, gender-presentations, abilities, and sexualities can come to share their art without the huge fees.
We imagine a world where anyone can come and share their art, no matter what.
Our first event is on March 11, 2023, and we have 40+ amazing vendors who are coming to share. Attendees and vendors are encouraged to support the fair through a $5-$15 donation, but no one is ever turned away for lack of funds.
See vendors who are attending on March 11 at PebbleBed (1417 15th Street San Francisco CA) here:
Our goal is to host seasonal fairs, both during the day and (exploring the) evening, for anyone to come and share their talents and crafts in a supportive community.
We are raising money to pay for organizing Queer Art Faire:
1. Website and design development costs (Web platform, designer)
2. Marketing material costs (Posters, Online Ads)
3. Venue costs
4. Material costs for day of (Tables for vendors who do not have them, chairs)
5. Food permit costs for the event, as well as for vendors who want to share food.
