Quentin Norris' Memorial Fund

Donation protected
On November 30, 2021, the world lost the kindest of hearts, the sweetest of souls, the funniest of friends, and such a unique and creative mind that had overcome so much. Quentin Norris knew no enemies and did not have a mean bone in his body. His passion and joy for spooky movies, cult classic bands, and live performances was infectious. He was a master of critical reviews, and he could create a whole world with pen and paper.

Last month, Quentin started noticing some health issues that warranted a couple uninsured hospital visits and a colonoscopy. A treatment plan was put in place, and things were looking hopeful. So our family has been in total shock and heartbreak since we received the phone call last week that Quentin was no longer with us.

As his cousin, I am raising money on behalf of Quentin's parents, Kevin and Kathy, his brother, Brandon, his future sister-in-law, Amanda, and his loving girlfriend and partner in crime, Maddie. All funds will be sent to them immediately to help cover Q's medical expenses, burial, and bereavement.

If you would like to be present for an event, Quentin's workplace, a/perture cinema in Winston Salem, NC, will screen Quentin's all-time favorite movie, EDWARD SCISSORHANDS, on Friday, December 10th. Tickets are on sale now and all proceeds from that will also go directly to his family. (https://aperturecinema.com/movies/edward-scissorhands/ )

a/perture cinema will also host a Celebration of Life on Sunday, December 12th at 3:00pm. The family will be dressed in “Quentin casual” which means we will be wearing t-shirts that Quentin would love (with favorite bands, movie characters, books, etc.) and we encourage you to do the same. A livestream is being set up for those unable to attend, so please check back here for the details/information/link.

If you're looking for other ways to honor Quentin, please consider contributing to Austin Animal Center (https://www.austintexas.gov/department/support-animal-center) where Quentin adopted his beloved dog, Scully, or to your favorite animal shelter of your choice.

To know Quentin was to love Quentin. To be known by Quentin was the honor of being loved by Quentin. He is missed terribly. Thank you for considering.
