Quentin Purrantino's Emergency Help

Donation protected
Hello. This is Quentin Purrantino. He's about 10 years old and I rescued him (actually, he decided that I would rescue him) from the SPCA in Prince George, BC, when he was under a year old. He's the ultimate dog-toddler-cat, everyone's boyfriend, drooly boi supreme, and literally everyone's favourite cat. Last night, March 9th, I got home after a busy day and within 10 minutes of being home, I watched him try (and fail) to pee 5 times on anything he could. His breathing was off, he couldn't move right, and he would lay down with one leg raised awkwardly.

I had a friend rush us over to the emergency vet and they took him away immediately to start pain relief and try to figure out what was going on. After a while, the doctor came to fill me in--his urethra is blocked, which is extremely serious in cats. He has to stay 2-3 days, if everything goes well. Potentially more if it doesn't.

This is where I am asking for help. After not working for pretty much the entirety of 2023 due to a yet-to-be-diagnosed neurological issue, moving to a different city to start working again, and now breaking my lease and moving again to a more affordable apartment and to get away from a neighbour with an extremely dangerous dog, I am beyond tapped.
I applied for Line Care at the vet as they could not start treatment without payment and thankfully I was approved for the full amount so treatment has started. With so much happening, one after the other, it's been impossible to catch up and have a fund for emergencies such as this.

I am asking for help towards this Line Care loan for his treatment. While typing this up, I got the morning update from the vet that he is producing urine through his catheter and he is eating, which is great. On his xrays, though, there may be some bladder stones. While the stones can be managed through diet (which I will be immediately going to get special food for him), there is a risk of them shrinking and then causing another obstruction just like this one when he tries to pass them. The other option would be surgery, which could run between $6000-$8000. Tomorrow the radiologist and surgeon will send me an actual estimate and I will post it here, in case surgery is looking like the only likely option and I will be increasing my goal.

Any kind of interaction with this fund, whether it's donation or a share with your circle of friends and family, is greatly appreciated. I work for a pet memorial center/crematorium and I do not want to bring him to work...

Thank you for taking the time to read this, both me and Quentin appreciate it more than you know.
