Quest for Finny's Seizure Dog
Donation protected
Meet Elijah Finley! This amazingly resilient little man has spent the last 3 years going through countless doctor visits and extensive testing to understand what has caused a lifetime of seizures and many other puzzling symptoms. A few months ago, Finn's family learned that he has Lennox-Gastaut syndrome (LGS).
LGS accounts for only 2 to 5% of childhood epilepsies and usually persists from childhood/adolescence to adult years. Seizures usually don't respond to seizure medications.
Finny's doctors have encouraged his family to explore Therapy Dogs. Seizure therapy dogs have the ability to predict siezures before they happen, giving his caregivers the ability to help him through them. These dogs are trained before they come to their new families are are usually 18-24 months old. Therapy dogs range from $12,000.00 - $17,000.00. Please help us raise money so Finny can recieve the gift of a fur best friend to help him through his difficult times ahead!
