Hello, I'm Qui-Shawn!
I am a musician and songwriter who has taken on the challenge of writing a song for an hour a day and—as of December 15th—I am consecutively on Day 196! I have realized how important it is to have a community of support to flourish and push past the struggles of creating!
I hosted my first annual charity live stream on December 18th to support the East West Players--an artistic space that empowers Asian American voices from musicians like AJ Rafael to voice actors like Zuko from Avatar (Dante Basco). The benefits will help Asian American youth in arts and music programs.
Even though their operating costs remain the same, without live theatre, ticket sales, and the ability to meet in-person, EWP no longer has the standard revenue streams of past years.
This year, EWP's Board of Directors has generously issued a challenge match of $40,000--allowing us to double our impact with our donations.
Supporting EWP means that I am taking ownership to help my fellow Asian Americans to help share their artistic voice and to make the pursuit of arts more accessible to our youth!
It is my privilege to be able to raise this money for East West Players. Thank you for any generous donation or share you make :))
