Quilts for Comfort & Compassion
Donation protected
Hi. I’m Cyndy.
As a longtime quilter, I know the comfort that a handmade quilt can bring. Making a quilt for someone who is going through a rough time can have a huge effect on their outlook. The person knows there is someone who wants to lessen their pain by making them a handmade quilt.
But quilting is expensive. I would love to tackle this endeavor on my own but that is unrealistic. My goal is to make 20 quilts this summer and donate them to Sacred Heart Medical Center (in Springfield Oregon) where they will mainly get distributed to their palliative care patients.
I can get the blocks and a lot of the backing fabrics donated but I need help with the cost of thread, batting, quilting and any additional fabric needs. I can donate my time to design the quilts, organize the block drives, assemble the quilt tops and sew the bindings.
Your donation can help a person have a positive experience in the midst of a very trying time in their life. I share all the donation quilts I make so you can follow my progress on my blog https://quiltingismorefunthanhousework.blogspot.com
Thank you so much!
