Quinn Catherine Donnelly

Hi, my name is Paige Stovall and I am reaching out to help support my dear friends Christina and Colm Donnelly on the passing of their sweet baby girl, Quinn Catherine Donnelly.

Quinn was born July 4, 2022 at 10:04 AM, 8pounds 9oz of pure beauty. She was welcomed into the world by Christina, Colm, and big brother Declan (2.5) Her arrival was long awaited and she was the perfect little addition to their family.

On July 22, Quinn was taken to her pediatrician for an unrelated issue. It was there that they noticed some swelling in her head and was sent for a CT at Hasbro Childrens Hospital. They quickly discovered a sizable tumor and a stent was placed that night. The next morning Quinn was sent for another CT scan. It started bleeding and filled the fluid sacs with blood. Quinn was sent in for emergency brain surgery to remove the tumor.

“The surgery was about 7 hours. A very skilled and experienced surgery team were positive about it, they removed 80-95% of the Teratoma with no major issues. Enough time passed, without change, that the team felt another CT scan was necessary. What they found broke everyone’s hearts. 90% of Quinn’s brain had suffered irreversible damage, her cerebral hemisphere was dead. After discussing our options exhaustively, we decided to spend whatever time we had left with her without further invasive procedures. Quinn passed today at 2pm. We’re in pieces. Colm and I thank everyone for keeping us in their thoughts and prayers and feel so blessed to have had two amazing weeks with our little girl. Love your kids extra hard tonight.”
