Quinn Emma Needs Your Help

Hi friends! Meet Quinn Emma - an adorably bright and beautiful 14 year old girl from Wisconsin who needs your help.
Quinney’s journey has been anything but easy; a few weeks before her first Christmas, at just 3 months old, she was shaken by her father. The damage to Quinn’s growing brain was absolutely devastating. The traumatic brain injury led to a brain bleed that has left her with visual impairment, cerebral palsy, spastic quadriparesis, chronic encephalopathy, neurocognitive disorder and epilepsy. With a list of injuries more catastrophic than any one person should ever be able to endure, the doctors gave a grave prognosis.
Too many to count hospital stays for not only weeks but months at a time, along with flight for life trips and ER visits, was all Quinn knew for the first few years of her life. Endless medications, ACTH injections, therapies, medical equipment, wheelchairs, walkers, braces, feeding and medical supplies, and twice-a-year doctor’s visits to 11 different specialists have left her entirely dependent on her mom for all of her care; eating, dressing, toileting, bathing, etc. and will be their routine for the rest of her life.
Recently, Quinney has been diagnosed with relentless progressive scoliosis of her spine and acetabular dysplasia of her left hip. Both of these new hurdles will require her to undergo 2 major surgeries; spinal fusion and hip reconstruction.
Despite everything this little angel has been through and the grave prognosis given as a baby, she is still the light in everyone’s life, 14 years later, beating the odds.
Quinn and her mom have always worked with the vehicles they have had. Using mom’s compact SUV for all appointments is becoming a challenge. Given the severity of these upcoming surgeries, they need a reliable handicap-accessible vehicle. As Quinney grows, mom lifting her into the car becomes increasingly unsafe for them both.
The money will be used to pay for a handicap-accessible vehicle. This vehicle will allow Quinney not only to be transported to and from doctor's appointments but also to travel everywhere her friends and family are, safely and comfortably.
Thank you for taking the time to read Quinn’s story. Please consider contributing to this little Sunflower’s future!
