Quinn’s Medical Journey

Hey, my name is Elizabeth! I’m fundraising for my little niece Quinn who’s been through so much more than any 4 year old should have to go through!

Quinn was diagnosed with autoimmune pulmonary Capillaritis, a pulmonary hemorrhage disease. 1 of only 8 kids in the whole United States with this disease! She is on high dose immune suppression therapy, and starting an additional immunosuppressive medication soon. She has dynamic airway collapse of tracheomalacia, and bronchomalacia.

Quinn has been hospitalized 17 times in the past year and a half and has been flown to Doernbecher Children’s Hospital 3 times this year alone. In June of 2023, Quinn was coughing up blood and ultimately, sent to Colorado Children’s Hospital for treatment. Her primary team is in Colorado now.

Quinn will have to travel to Colorado for treatment frequently, and will also have an aortoplexy in the future for her airway collapse. She has undergone invasive medical procedures in the past 1.5 years and spent her 3rd and 4th birthdays in the hospital.

Quinn is a feisty 4 year old Bend, OR girl who loves animals, and the “glitter in the night sky.” Quinn has 5 siblings and 4 dogs. Quinn can not go to preschool due to her risk for illness. My sister has given up her full time position to care for her full time at home.

With frequent trips to Colorado for Quinn’s treatment and medical care, the money raised from this fundraiser will help cover Quinn’s medications, procedures and travel expenses! It will help ease the stress/worry for my sister and her family! Any donation helps and all are so, so appreciated!
