Memorial for Quintessence (Quin) Henderson

The beautiful little girl you see in the picture is Quintessence, better known as Quin, Henderson. Her eyes sparkled, her voice was so small and sweet and she had the biggest heart of any 5-year-old I have ever met. She loved animals and helped her mommy and daddy take great care of their two big dogs and cat. She was a beloved only child but loved to play with her cousins and aunts, uncles and grandparents.

Quin passed away suddenly on Saturday, March 25th. What appeared to be a routine childhood illness early in the week got worse and she was admitted to the hospital with what appeared to be pneumonia. This sweet girl later died of complications of pneumonia and Strep A infection (IGAS).

Christina and Kirk are amazing parents. Many of you know Chris from her work in a wellness clinic and she strives to brighten everyone's day and Quin was her pride and joy. Kirk is a great dad, making sure his baby girl knew good things in life. Quin was taught kindness, and acceptance, and the importance of fun and silliness by these two wonderful humans. They are living every parent's worst nightmare right now. They are good, kind, loving people who deserve to be able to mourn this tragic loss.

This Go Fund Me is to help raise funds for Christina and Kirk for Quin's memorial as well as allow them time to process this devastating loss. No one is prepared for the loss of a child and the grief will have a life of its own. There is no timeline for these things and as friends of Chris and Kirk, we want them to breathe a little easier knowing they can take their time and grieve without worrying about the financial side of things.

Quin's family will receive relatives and friends from 5-8 p.m. on Friday, March 31, 2023 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick St. Kitchener (519) [phone redacted]. Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Saturday, April 1, 2023 at 10:30 a.m. Reception to follow.
