"Fight Like Rebecca"

Rebecca's journey began at the very young age of 15 years. At one of the most important times in any young girl's life Rebecca found a lump in her breast. Young and scared a biopsy was done and she was told the lump was benign and that nothing more needed to be done.
As the years moved on so did our Rebecca. She found love and had her beautiful daughter Deziree, now 14. As life can sometimes change for the worse Rebecca stayed strong and fearless.
She found love again when she met Bobby. The couple tried for a child together with some difficulties along the way. Rebecca was treated with Progesterone and as luck would grant them their wishes came true. Nicholas was born blessing Rebecca, Bobby, and Deziree and will be celebrating his second birthday at the end of this month.
During her pregnancy with Nico, Rebecca noticed another small lump in her breast. Her physicians told her it was what they thought to be a clogged milk duct. Months passed without anything done even though her lump had gotten larger. Finally, her physician sent Rebecca for testing. To the physician's dismay it was not a clogged duct.
Rebecca was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer that had already metastasized throughout her body and rapidly. This has now led to Leptomeningeal carcinomatosis. This type of disease occurs in only about 5% of people diagnosed with cancer. If left untreated, median survival is only four to six weeks. Unfortunately, Rebecca was just given that terrible news.
While Rebecca and Bobby are getting ready to celebrate their one year anniversary, she is fighting for her life harder now than ever before. Strong and fearless she is hopeful and positive.
As we pray for good news and are not loosing hope we are researching how to help and we would like to ask for your help and support. With loosing her health insurance due to her illness the proper medical treatments are too costly and her health is rapidly deteriorating. Any donation would be a tremendous help and greatly appreciated.
Rebecca, Bobby, Deziree, and Nico are spending these precious moments with close family and friends. Positive and strong they are still fighting this fight together. We are asking that you fight with them.
