"Into the Wildnerness" Art Exhibit
Donation protected
Hey my name is Max DeHart and I am a painter that resides in San Jose, California. My main focus in painting is that of nature related settings and different animals in those environments. I’ve recently come up with an idea for a solo art exhibition and need a little assistance to make this happen!
This will be my first solo show and just doing the traditional approach of putting art on a wall for people to look at just seems a little to boring for me. I really want it to be a show people remember, not just for the art, but for the experience. This is why I came up with an idea to curate a show that takes the viewer on an immersive journey through different environments to experience that habitat and meet the animals that live there.
Some of the animals I will be painting will actually be from Happy Hollow Zoo that you can meet in person just down the street. I’ve partnered up with them to do a series featuring their animals and also donating a percentage back to their conservation organization. I really do want to make this an intimate experience for everyone by providing enough information to make people aware of endangerment and inspired through art to want to support conservation efforts.
The part that I need your help with is the financial backing to make a show like this happen. As some may not know, there are a lot of expenses involved in hosting a show. The costs of creating all the art to curate the experience, plus gallery rental, permits, food, music, all that stuff.. is to be expected. The part that is really making things a little stressful is having 6 months of producing art without being able to sell anything until the show. I’ve been fortunate to be able to pay my studio rent with paintings but in order for me to fill a gallery with work I will need to be non stop producing until the day of.
So, If any of this sounds like something you could support, I would absolutely be appreciative of any and all contributions and would 100% make good use of it all. If you’re not in a good financial position to be donating then sharing and telling people about the show is just as important. I still fully want to see anyone and everyone there and The show will go on no matter what and will be completely free.
