"Rally for Dan"

Unexpectedly on March 17, 2018 my youngest brother, Danny Hendrick, suffered a massive stroke. The stroke affected the left side of his brain (approx. 75%) which required him to have an emergency hemicraniectomy. This lifesaving procedure was crucial, as it helped  alleviate pressure in the cranium and allow the brain to swell. After spending 2 1/2 weeks in Intensive Care it was uncertain if Danny would regain consciousness, speech or movement.

Today he currently has limited movement of the right side and is only able to say and understand simple phrases.  Dan is making small improvements everyday but the road to recovery is going to require months of multidisciplinary therapies.

During this journey, Dan is unable to return to work. As a family we are there by his side doing everything we can to help make this journey as stress free as possible but we need your help! Dan was the main supporter of his family of four. Married to his wife, Gina who is 90% deaf and cares for his daughter with multiple health issues.  Dan also has a son, Austin who is currently in high school and stepping up to help his mom take care of his sister and the house. We are asking for help with the medical and living expenses to help the family focus on Dan's health and recovery. 

Dan has an amazing support group of friends and family that are so very much for him. Lets help him on his road to recover and back to the wonderful fun loving dad we all know and love.  Anything you are able to contribute will be so graciously appreciated.
