Support Fund for Robert and Samantha Escobar
Donation protected
It is with a very heavy heart that we share our Robert, also known as Alexandra’s Dad, Sam's Media Naranja, our Robertio, Tai Tai, my big brother and hero - is in the biggest fight for his life. He has conquered many, many battles for the past 25 years ever since we found out he had kidney failure and went through 2 kidney transplants. This is one of the reasons he became a Registered Nurse. These last few months, however, he has been battling Squamous Cell Carcinoma of the mouth / Oral Cancer, has gone through several surgeries and radiation. We recently found out the cancer has aggressively spread, preliminary results show it is also now in his lungs. Today, he had to have a feeding tube inserted and he made the very difficult decision to sacrifice his kidney transplant to begin chemotherapy. We are heartbroken as we had been celebrating every year, for the past 23 years, that his kidney had survived. He will now need to go back on dialysis. He is a fighter and we ask for your prayers to fight along side of him, as we know there is power in The Name of Jesus.
During this very difficult time we are humbly asking for donations so that Robert doesn’t have to worry about his family and so that his beautiful wife, Sam can focus on completing her last 11 weeks of school, which is Roberts desire for her. Sam has been focused on achieving her Master Degree in Social Work, so she was not working when we found out the diagnosis. Robert hasn’t been able to continue his career as a Hospital Case Manager. Even with everything going on, Sam has been able to maintain a 4.0 gpa, we are so proud of her.
Robert is loved by so many, we know he will fight as much as he can. Please pray for Robert, Sam and Alex. Thank you!
