In Loving Memory of Mary Ann
Mary Ann Atherton passed away after a fierce battle with cancer. As a survivor for most of her adult life, she was so strong and rarely let on what she was dealing with. A wife, mother, sister, friend and teacher, Mary Ann shared herself with so many, giving selflessly to all who crossed her path. Family was everything to her. She could always be found at her girls' activities cheering them on. Always active in the school PTAs, Mary Ann supported the teachers and staff that made those schools thrive. It should not go unnoticed that her own daughters shared their mom with hundreds of other children. For over 30 thirty years her love of dance was a golden halo around her. In the dance studio, Mair's love of her craft and expertise were unmatched. Every student, no matter their age or ability, was met with a hug and words of encouragement. She had a way of not taking no for an answer, but what you didn't realize was that her drive and determination were all in an effort to help you be your best self. She was an extraordinary force in and out of the studio, and her absence has already left a huge hole in the community.
If you knew Mair, you know how much she touched the lives of everyone around her. She was the first one to lend a helping hand, make a donation, or bake something for the cake sale. It is now our turn to give back a fraction of that love and support to help Jason and his children as they deal with the loss of their beloved wife and mom. We are raising funds to assist the family as needed as they move forward without her. Please give what's best for your heart and wallet, knowing that each and every dollar will help the family going forward. She leaves us with her favorite phrase "Have courage and be kind." Please help honor her legacy.
This fund will be given directly to the family. It will be used for costs they were not expecting or thinking about at the time of her passing. Thank you in advance for your donations in support of the Atherton family.
