October 2024 brought devastating news: a diagnosis of colon cancer that had spread to my liver, placing me at stage 4. The road since then has been incredibly challenging, filled with doctor's appointments, scans, and the emotional rollercoaster of cancer treatment. With the new year, my insurance out-of-pocket maximums have reset, meaning I'm now responsible for significant co-pays for everything from my upcoming liver surgery to the MRIs and CT scans that are so vital to my care, as well as the ongoing costs of chemotherapy. These expenses are a heavy burden, and I'm reaching out for help.
