Tina's Medical/ Emergency Expenses
Donation protected
Hello! My name is Tina Deal, and I am asking for your support with my GoFundMe Medical and Moving account. I was diagnosed with breast cancer 3 years ago. After three surgeries, radiation treatments and oral chemotherapy drugs,I am now a 2 year breast cancer survivor, However, as a result of the cancer and said treatments, it created for me terrible side effects. These side effects have caused me excrutiating pain in my back, legs and hips. I have also been diagnosed with osteoporosis and diabetic neuropathy that adds to the pain. I developed lymphodema in my right arm, and must be very careful with that arm, so I cannot give blood from that arm, have my blood pressure taken on that arm nor carry weight over 10 lbs. with that arm. The type 2 Diabetis Mellitis that I have has gone haywire and out of control. As a result, my vision is very blurry, even with glasses, and my blood sugar levels are tetering in the 400 - 500 range. The Hepatitis C that I have had for the last 18 years is showing signs of getting worse, which could lead to liver cancer/disease. Praise God, I have just started a treatment program for the Hep C, and I am claiming His divine healing. In the meantime, it keeps me extremely tired all the time. I am suffering from depression as a result of the constant pain and suffering. I actually stopped living and withdrew myself from life. Anyone who knows me, knows that I have a love for the joy of living and interacting with others. That has not been the case in the last few years!
Prior to the cancer and other illnesses, I was extremely active in the Dallas/Ft. Worth community. Through my former church, St. Luke"Community" United Methodist Church, I participated in numerous outreach ministries over the 25 years that I was a member. I facilitated Bible study classes and served as a Trustee for six years, four of which were as Chair.
I participated in the Homeless Ministry, Loaves and Fishes, serving the homeless community with a monthly weekend dinner club, served at the Martin Luther King Recreation Center in South Dallas county. We also served a monthly dinner club for the residents of an apartment building that houses HIV/AIDS patients.
Over the last thirty-five years, I had been very busy volunteering with various centers around the Metroplex that serve the needs of the homeless population and women and children in need.
I have been very active with my current church, New Beginnings. I thoroughly enjoyworking with those persons in our community that need a helping hand.
I also participated in Prison ministry, and traveled once a month to Gatesville, TX to minister and pray with the ladies who were trustees in the prison.
I said all of that to tell you why I need funding. First, I have no medical insurance. I have medications to take that I cannot afford, but need. The medical clinic will not pay for certain drugs. That becomes an expense that I have to pay. When I have hospital appointments, I have to pay a co-pay and for parking. Several appointments I missed because I did not have the funds to pay for gas, parking and the co-pay. I am not currently working, and have applied for my disability. I was laid off at the time I received my cancer diagnosis. I continued to look for a job until the surgeries started, back to back. And then treatment started and I realized I was in this thing for the long haul. As a result of not working, I have been unable to pay my rent on a consistent basis. Dallas County came to my aid, and they paid my landlord for several months. When they could no longer pay, it fell back on me. I still had most of the bills I had when I was working, and friends and family assisted me when they could. Since the County is no longer assisting with the rent, I have been evicted by my landlord. I have only a few days to transition to another place. I will need packing supplies, packers, movers, storage etc. I will also need transitional housing.
I ask that you would assist me by funding my GoFundMe. I pray God's abundant blessings upon you. Thank you so very much!
