Hi everyone Nathalia and I are currently reaching out to anyone that can read and see this, firstly I want to thank you for taking the time to just read my cries for help for our pride and joy Thanos.
He’s a 3 Year Old American Staffordshire Terrier and he’s the sweetest thing since sugar, As of recently he’s been struggling with his allergies from where we live. We took him to see his normal vet for some allergies and found out he contracted a UTI we were provided some antibiotics from the vet and we were treating it as normal and taking diligent care of our fur baby. He was very lethargic and weak and unable to eat or drink that much he was scared to use the bathroom which would 100% put him into this extreme pain mode. On Friday August 26th Thanos had his first seizure that lasted 60 seconds while tryin to walk to go to the bathroom and we immediately rushed him to the closest ER Vet which was an hour away, as he was panting and drooling and seemingly in a confused state we arrived at the ER and they triaged him and let us know he was doing fine, they suggested to get him to a neurologist because he may have epilepsy or another brain damaging ailment, if he has another seizure and to keep a close eye on him and to bring him back if certain conditions applied, including 2 or more seizures within a 24 hour time period they gave him some pain meds and it helped him greatly fast forward to Sunday and we had to give him his daily meds and as he swallowed the last one he began to seize again, we called the ER and they stated to watch him and that if it happened again to bring him back, the day passed and at 10pm at night he was looking worse for wear but no seizures, I knew that he needed to see a neurologist and that there was one 2 hours and 30 minutes away at this time of night so I began calling and calling the whole western side of Washington even being so rash as to call ER Vets in Oregon and they were all at “capacity” mind you all these locations at 2hours+ away. We managed to have him sleep through the night and made a quick drive to Tacoma’s because they are the only ones accepting patients. We arrive and the service is great however when provided the estimate it was $8500 for his MRI and medicines and everything else you can imagine. I applied up and down and unfortunately cannot be accepted for that high of an amount so now I am here desperately trying to get our fur baby the help he needs to go back to his loving sweet self. And we are scared for him and if we are not able to get him the help he needs. Our upmost gratitude to any of those who even take the time to read my pleas. At the very least share the post to make the most of what I’m trying to do for my baby.
