Saying Goodbye To Our Dad

We lost our dad on May 17,2020 at 9:36 PM to COVID-19. It took less than two weeks for the virus to destroy our lives. The last time we saw him he was saddened that we were taking him to the hospital but he agreed because he wanted to get better.

Unfortunately, we will not ever see him again. The last time we saw him he was in the ICU, he was sedated not knowing what is happening to him. We were not able to be next to him, hold him, or say our last goodbyes. This deadly virus kills families in the most horrific way.

He left a wife of 30 years, a daughter of 20 years old, and two sons of age 23 and 26. He died at a young age of 53 and left our lives while we barely started to grow as young adults. 

He won't have a regular church ceremony nor a beautiful funeral with all the people that know him, we will not see our father resting body in the casket. Instead, less than five people will attend the ceremony and the funeral with the casket fully closed not displaying our father one last time.

Our father took care of us growing up and we were barely starting to appreciate him by taking care of him, but now our father wont see us grow up more, nor walk my sister on her wedding day or see us succeed in the best way possible.

We ask for help financially to help bury our dad and say our last goodbyes. We will always be saddened by the way that he left us but we know that he is happy in heaven and watching over us and will always have those priceless memories that he created in his time in earth.

Any help goes a long way to help us in this devastating event. We thank you and hope that no family suffers like we are.

Perdimos a nuestro padre el 17 de mayo de 2020 a las 9:36 p.m. a COVID-19. El virus tardó menos de dos semanas en destruir nuestras vidas. La última vez que lo vimos le entristeció que lo lleváramos al hospital, pero aceptó porque quería mejorar.

Desafortunadamente, nunca lo volveremos a ver. La última vez que lo vimos estaba en la UCI, estaba sedado sin saber lo que le estaba pasando. No pudimos estar a su lado, abrazarlo o despedirnos. Este virus mortal mata a las familias de la manera más horrible.

Dejó una esposa de 30 años, una hija de 20 años y dos hijos de 23 y 26 años. Murió a la temprana edad de 53 años y dejó nuestras vidas cuando apenas comenzamos a crecer como adultos jóvenes.

No tendrá una ceremonia regular en la iglesia ni un hermoso funeral con todas las personas que lo conocen, no veremos a nuestro padre descansando el cuerpo en el ataúd. En cambio, menos de cinco personas asistirán a la ceremonia y al funeral con el ataúd completamente cerrado sin mostrar a nuestro padre por última vez.

Nuestro padre se ocupó de nosotros mientras crecíamos y apenas comenzábamos a apreciarlo cuidándolo, pero ahora nuestro padre no nos verá crecer más, ni acompañará a mi hermana el día de su boda ni nos verá triunfar de la mejor manera posible. 

Pedimos ayuda financiera para ayudar a enterrar a nuestro padre y decir nuestras últimas despedidas. Siempre nos entristecerá la forma en que nos dejó, pero sabemos que es feliz en el cielo y nos cuida y siempre tendrá esos recuerdos invaluables que creó en su tiempo en la tierra.
