Sussex youth centre and Christian coffee house

Hi my name is Kyle and I’m trying to raise money to open a faith based Christian coffee house and youth centre in Sussex (The Den)

The Den will be a unique coffee shop in Sussex, New Brunswick, designed to be more than just a place to enjoy beverages. With its roots in community service and Christian fellowship, The Den serves as a welcoming youth drop-in center that encourages connection and personal growth among young individuals. By integrating a coffee shop atmosphere with a vibrant motorcycle culture and tattoo shop, The Den provides a cool and inclusive environment where youth can gather, share experiences, and receive support through various community initiatives.

Mission

Our mission at The Den is to foster a Christ-centered community where young people can feel accepted and inspired. We aim to offer a safe space for personal development, recovery, and spiritual growth through fellowship, outreach programs, and shared experiences that promote connection and support among youth.

Problem

In today’s world, many young people face challenges such as isolation, lack of support, and significant struggles related to addiction and life transitions. These struggles can hinder their personal growth and create barriers to finding faith-based support systems. Furthermore, there are limited spaces that blend spirituality with contemporary culture, where youth can feel truly comfortable being themselves.

Solution

The Den would address these issues by offering a welcoming environment that combines great coffee with community engagement. By hosting recovery groups and outreach programs alongside youth-friendly activities, we create opportunities for connection and healing. Our atmosphere invites young individuals to build relationships with peers and mentors, all rooted in Christian values.

This dream of mine is very important to me having grown up in the system and living between foster homes and on the streets I personally see the value to a community it can be to have a safe place for youth to spend time.

The money raised would go to set up costs and would be sustained by moving my already existing and successful tattoo studio into the building to help cover the ongoing cost to operate.
