Support For Sue

This page, organized by friends of the Salonen family is designed to support the family as they work through Sue's ongoing recovery. Most recently, Sue was out walking in Great Falls and was hit by a SUV while crossing an intersection near her home. She was admitted to the ICU for a shattered ankle that has had initial surgery to pin it back in place and will require further care. She will not be able to bear weight on this leg for 6-8 weeks. Sue also sustained a head trauma from the impact that resulted in multiple skull fracture points. At this point, we know she does have some frontal lobe damage. Sue is currently recovering at home with Bill at her side. Bill has officially retired from his work at Special Olympics to care for Sue. Considering Sue's extensive medical needs along with Bill and Sue's adjustment to a new way of life, any support for the Salonen family is welcome. Thank you.
