Our brother Zaid Kidane was born in the city of Adi Quala, Eritrea. After completing his elementary schooling, he attended Adi Quala High School. Shortly after completing high school, Zaid, like most Eritreans, joined the national service. Following his many years of struggle in the national service, Zaid came to the United States as an immigrant and settled in Denver, Colorado. Zaid had an underlying health issue with his kidneys and was waiting for a kidney transplant. However, before that could become a reality, Zaid passed away on December 22, 2022, at the age of 44. He was a husband and a father. Zaid's funeral service will be held in Eritrea and this fundraiser is to help send the body back home for burial there.
