USA Paralympic Hopeful

Hi my name is Terry Hayes and I’m a member of Team USA Parafencing Team. I have earned a spot on the 2020 Paralympic Team headed to Tokyo. I have attended the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs five times for a parafencing camp. There are three national tournaments a year. I have two Paralympic training camps and a National Championships left to attend. I will be responsible for 11 nights plus meals and airfare to go to camp in PA. Also I need to pay for registration, hotel, meals and airfare to Salt Lake City. Next up is airfare to Colorado Springs to attend camp at the Olympic and Paralympic Training Center.  I have competed at five national events and eight international events. The Americans Championship in Saskatoon, Canada and World Cups in Tbilisi, Georgia, São Paulo, Brazil, Warsaw, Poland, Amsterdam, The Netherlands and Hungary. I have also competed in The World Games in Sharjah, The United Arab Emirates. I was selected as a member of the US World Championship Team and competed in the World Championships in South Korea I am currently ranked 5th place nationally in female Foil and 5th place nationally in female Sabre. In epee I am ranked 3rd. As a proud disabled US Army veteran I would love the opportunity to once again represent my country participating in the sport I love. Thank you for your donation!
