MUSE CAFE is our family run café in South Slope, Brooklyn. We have been successful in serving our community for the past 6 years. We love our customers and the neighborhood we are privileged to be part of, all who have made MUSE CAFE come to life. There has been a generosity of spirit and warmth at the heart of the MUSE CAFE, shared between us and those we now call our friends, our customers.
My brother and I opened MUSE CAFE after many years working hard in the restaurant business. Opening our own place was our dream and our good fortune.
Our goal has been clear, to provide freshly made food, good customer service and a home away from home for our local community. It has not always been an easy ride, but one that we would not change. We met many challenges. We learned new things and were strengthened by many wonderful people we met along the way. After 5 years of being in business we finally started to see all our hard work pay off.
Our good fortune came to a sudden halt in March with the onset of the CO-VID 19 pandemic. We have been able to keep MUSE CAFE open so far due to the extended outdoor seating during the warm weather. Now with winter approaching and no indoor or outdoor seating, we are at great risk.
We now must graciously ask for your help to keep Muse Café & Tea open. Any donation will be highly appreciated and used to pay our staff and bills.
We are determined to work through this challenge together with our families and friends, to keep MUSE CAFE open, a place welcome to all, to deliver wholesome food to those now homebound, to keep all of us safe and to look toward the future where we will come and go again with greater ease.
We feel deep appreciation for all we call community without which we would not be MUSE CAFE.
