End of the World Tour

Donation protected
“A Nigerian-Irish teenage girl's love for her favourite boyband and their frontman leads her on a journey of self-discovery and fantasy, as she grapples with the band's break-up and the conflicting beliefs of those around her, in this surreal and thought-provoking story, "The End of the World Tour.”

Please consider supporting the short film 'End of the World Tour' on GoFundMe. Not only will your donation help bring this unique and vibrant story to life, but it also supports the voice and vision of Black artists. Too often, stories about the Black experience are rooted in trauma and racism, but this film offers a refreshing perspective by highlighting the love and passion of a Nigerian-Irish teenage girl, Kemi, for her favourite boyband, WHYNOT, and their charismatic frontman, COLE. By supporting this project, you're not only helping to create something new and exciting, but you're also investing in the representation and diversity of the Irish film industry.

“The End of the World Tour is truly a culmination of four years of finding myself as a director and artist, I want to create a bright, beautiful and bold world that tells a story that feels familiar to me and a lot of other young Black and Nigerian girls of my generation. It’s important to me to showcase a beautiful and messy Black existence, to delve into the mind of my teenage self and bring it all back to life in a surreal and fantastical way. I love having fun with filmmaking and that’s what’s at the core of this film.”

This film is extremely important to all of our Heads of Departments as this is our major graduate production for the IADT National Film School and determines all of our HODs for Directing, Producing, Cinematography, Sound and Editing final grades for our college course, all crew members are working for free and and our funds raised will be entirely invested towards production including transport, hiring talent, props, make-up, costume design, location and any additional equipment hiring

The aim of this GoFundMe is to raise funds for the film shoot between the 27th of February and the 5th of March. Any and all donations from anyone whether big or small would contribute greatly to helping our film ‘End of the World Tour’ be the best film it can be. So help make this dream a reality by donating today.
