Prayers for Jimmy
If you are lucky enough to know my big brother Jimmy you know he’s the life of any party. He’s one of those guys you can’t help but love. He’s the craziest, most fun loving individual you’ll ever meet. He’s a loving husband, an amazing father, an incredible friend to many and so much more. Jimmy has been a police officer for going on 19 years this coming January - he absolutely loves his job. He’s one of those guys that’s never thought about doing anything else ever since joining the force almost 19 years ago. Jimmy is one of those guys that you’re proud to know, you’re proud to call your friend - I know I’m certainly proud to call him my brother!!
Jimmy has always lead a healthy life with minimal health issues. Back in February Jimmy had a seizure - he’d never had any issues with seizures ever before. It was certainly a scary time for Jimmy, Jennifer and their girls. Jimmy underwent lots of testing, MRI’s, CT Scans, brain monitoring, etc as he began to have seizures on a regular basis. As time has progressed they’ve only gotten worse. Jimmy has had no answers until this week. Jimmy was fortunate enough to go to Mayo Clinic this week. Mayo ran additional tests, completed a new MRI and found what one can hope to never hear: Jimmy: you have a brain tumor on your temporal lobe. Jimmy has been scheduled to have brain surgery this coming Thursday. Jimmy will be awake for the entire procedure. They will remove as much of the tumor as they are able to. The tumor will be sent for testing - it will take a couple of weeks to get the results. Jimmy will be out of work for an unknown amount of time. Jimmy is the breadwinner in his family - he is fortunate enough to have short term disability but unfortunately it will only pay 60% of his salary. Please - if you are able to to do — please donate - if you are unable to donate please share with others. All funds will go to Jimmy and his family to offset medical expenses and to help cover his loss in wages.
Thanking each and every one of you in advance for your donations, prayers and words of encouragement.
