Asher's respite home
Donation protected
This go fund me account is for an almost 15 year old boy with severe autism named Asher. Asher is police monitored due to his extreme flight risk. When he runs off he runs to train yards and both CN and CP police are immediately notified as the risk of a train accident is so high. The high nature of his needs requires that he have a respite home but despite having had the funding for respite in place, a respite home is unable to work for him as he needs a small place catered to his specific needs.
His mom found a builder for tiny house (mini home through Mini House Manitoba) that could be custom built for his needs, used as a respite home and then in a few years become a permanent home that adult services could staff for adulthood, preventing her child from going into a group home for long term care.
