Funds For Heidi

Family and friends,

On March 5, 2021 my sister-in-law, Heidi Aburaad, had brain surgery to remove a tumor. The tumor was a Central Neurocytoma, a benign tumor, Thank God. Due to the size and location of the tumor the surgeon was unable to remove all of it. The surgery was 8 hours long and very risky. Over the past 2 years Heidi has had multiple MRI’s of the brain to monitor the growth of the remaining tumor. Unfortunately it has increased in size and action must be taken. She is not a surgical candidate due to the risks involved. We had a consultation on June 30, 2023 with her radiation oncologist. The next step in her treatment plan will be radiation to the brain for 5 weeks/5 days a week. The radiation oncologist feels very confident that this will completely stop the growth of the tumor.

Heidi is 33 years old, she works full time as a hair stylist and she is a busy mom of 3 young boys. While this radiation treatment is necessary it is going to come with some unexpected costs…medical expenses, loss of work, travel expenses (back and forth to Orlando daily), etc….

Her main focus needs to be on her health and not on finances. So, I am sharing this story with you in hopes that you can join me in helping Heidi. If you are unable to monetarily donate please help by sharing this post and adding Heidi to your prayers.
