Help Tina Survive Cancer

Hi, my name is DD, and I am trying to help my best friend Tina get through this hard time. She got diagnosed with skin cancer this year, and has been through a couple of surgeries to her face. The doctors found that the cancer invaded the nerves, which has a high chance of spreading to her brain. She is currently going through 6 and half weeks of radiation treatment.

This year has been hard on her, like it has been for many people. I have watched my best friend struggle with her health, fear, and finances this year, and I see her trying to keep a good outlook. She has always tried to help others struggling in various ways, and I would like to try and get her some help during her own personal time of need.

Tina has advanced Squamous Cell Carcinoma, not normally an aggressive type of cancer, but a small percentage of people fall into this very serious condition where the nerves become involved....This year, she lost part of her nose, as it infiltrated past the skin and into the cartilage and now her nerves. This puts it on the fast track to feed directly to her brain. So after completing a very long skin graft procedure to cover the large hole cancer left in her nose, she is currently doing the radiation therapy. The radiation is to her face, and will follow the nerve path of the nose, around her left eye and to the base of her skull, in hopes of preventing the disease from progressing to her brain.

She is dealing with the side effects of radiation, the after effects of her very traumatic surgeries, and just trying to take things one day at a time. She is scared, and struggling with her finances. She very much is looking forward to moving beyond this after treatment. She has 27 more radiation treatments to go. She is no stranger to the devastating effects of cancer as she has lost her grandfather to cancer, and watched her son successfully beat colon cancer in 2018.

Please help me get her some support, to help her get through this time, so she can have a little less stress while trying to fight that dirty word we know as cancer. We know that tough times don't last, and that tough people do, and she is definitely tough...but we all need a little help sometimes. Please pray for her recovery, strength and good spirits. Anything we can do to help her now, is so appreciated.
