Bill Henderson is facing another battle with cancer.
Bill’s PG&E career started when he was hired in Sept, 1985 in Bakersfield CA with the GC. Gas. Bill and his wife Alois moved from Stevinson, California to Bakersfield in order for him to secure a position with the company. He worked with in Chico until he went to work for GC GT.
Bill took a Welding Apprentice position and became a Welder for many years until he became a General Foreman in GC GT.
In 2007 at the age of 48 Bill was diagnosed with an aggressive prostate cancer. This is unusual for someone so young. Bill opted for surgery and Follow up treatments.
It has been 8 years wonderful years since the last cancer.
Alois hired on through the hiring hall as a flagger so she could work close to Bill. Bill and Alois are proud parents of two children and grandchildren.
Bill's son Justin is a MEO for PG&E and lives in Gilroy.
Recently Bill became ill during dinner, he received a pacemaker, he had an MRI and the discovery of a stage 3 glioma malignant brain tumor was diagnosed on September 14th.
Bill and Alois are in the midst of building their retirement home, they started by building a 4 car garage with a small living unit in one to live in until they could finish their home.
Bill had his surgery at Stanford Hospital, treated by Dr Chang, Director of Stanford's Brain Tumor Center.
He and Alois have since traveled to what was to be their retirement dream in Medford, OR.
Bill will be traveling to Portland for additional treatment, with his main focus on the quality of his life with Alois, his children and grandchildren.
Your prayers and generosity are greatly appreciated.
