R4CH43L - A Story That Must Be Told

"To listen to a witness is to become a witness." - Eli Wiesel

R4CH43L is a short film about a 5 year old Catholic boy (Ukraine, 1942) as he discovers that his parents are rescuing Jews.

R4CH43L bravely held her two sons close as she knocked on the door, seeking refuge from certain death. She had no idea what to expect when the door opened.

(Brittany Benjamin as R4CH43L)

Only then did our young hero discover that his parents had been providing refuge for Jewish people in a secret shelter in their barn. Guided by God to be the LIGHT in a very dark place, his family frequently witnessed Nazi soldiers march Jewish prisoners into the cemetery for what was known as the "Final Solution".

The two families become one...until...

(Greg Berman and Noah Ajsenberg)

Over fifty years later, the Catholic boy had grown up to become an accomplished professional and he is called back to his home country for business.

Suddenly, the face from his nightmares brought to the surface a story that he has pushed down for many decades.

R4CH43L has been entered into international film festivals, and has been nominated for BEST DRAMATIC ORIGINAL at WorldFest in Houston, TX.

We have made our film available to high schools, Universities and Colleges for their  Genocide and Holocaust education curriculum.

Gustavus Adolphus College, University of MN, and Kansas State University have inquired or scheduled programs around our film, and we’re honored!

Principle photography was completed in 2018 in Minnesota and the completed film is available for viewing.

But we cannot stop now! We need your help:

We are seeking funding of $7250 to make R4CH43L debt free, market to film festivals, and provide as a resource to educational institutions.

With so many lost stories, you can help us make this one story unforgettable.

Thank you for your attention and for sharing this post with your friends and family.  We appreciate that you have joined #TeamR4CH43L
