Hi everyone! Brandon and I are making this gofundme for our dad who recently passed Thursday October 6th. Joe Silva just wasn’t a grumpy old man, he helped, cared and loved everyone that came into his life good or bad, it didn’t matter to him. Our dad was a retired Army Veteran. If you knew him, he was obsessed with sports. He always took care of his neighborhood, because we didn’t have much of a family. His friends were his family and we know he would’ve never wanted it any other way. He was the neighborhood watchman, he cared for the safety of all the children in his neighborhood. He would protect them as his own. He knew everyone, so we could only imagine how his funeral is going to be, which will be an amazing time for us to put him at rest. You may have met him through the Grand Jury, or umpiring/referring games for volleyball, softball or basketball, or you may have met him at our school. So you know he was a great person with an amazing heart. If he didn’t know you, he would go introduce himself to his whole neighborhood literally haha. We know our dad had the best of friends and people in his life, he wouldn’t want us grieving over his passing, he would want us celebrating his long life! We ask that everyone that comes to the viewing and funeral to bring a photo of you and the old man, just so we can keep his memory living long within our hearts you can give them to either Brandon or myself. We love our dad very much and for everyone that knows us, knows this hasn’t been easy for us and it’s only the beginning. Please share and/or donate for our father so we can put him at rest how he would have wanted ❤️
