A little bit about me.
I began my journey from the desk to the flight deck in 2014. I started out in Airport Operations(ticket agent/check in) for a major airline and during my downtime, I would sit and watch planes take off and land. Geeking over the type of planes and looking up where they were coming from/going to. Before boarding began on flights, I would sometimes sit in the flight deck and imagine myself in those seats. It was an indescribable feeling and I knew I belong up there.
Here’s where I need your help.
Flight school is approximately $60,000. I’ve applied for loans but unfortunately denied several times. Ive begun the journey and have my FAA Student Pilot Certificate. I’m actively seeking and searching for scholarships but I need more help. I have great ambitions of finishing flight school to become a commercial pilot and I don’t want to give up on passion again. I look forward to adding to the less than 1% of commercial female black pilots and I want to encourage others to follow what they're passionate about as well.
