Doug & Courtney

As you probably know, Doug had a major accident this past Friday and will be dealing with a very long recovery time. He is a Union bricklayer by trade and they are engaged to be married this October. Doug has two kids, Holly, 14 and Owen, 10. We are grateful that he is doing as well as he can be in his situation. With this recent news, so many of their friends and family have reached out wanting to know what they can do, and how they can help. We thought this would be the best way to help out a couple who would do the same for any of us without even blinking an eye. Thanks in advance for your thoughtfulness!!!

Doug fell about 30 feet and was med flighted to MGH with extensive injuries. He has defied most odds which I attribute to all of the love and prayers that we are receiving. He is in an intensive care unit where they are closely monitoring his heart and lungs as he has a large contusion on his left lung and his cardiac markers are high. The injuries we know of are 8 rib fractures, a cervical fracture (C7), an orbital bone fracture, and lots of bruises/pain. He has an epidural for pain and will probably be in the intensive care unit for one more day and the hospital for a few more days. Reality is setting in, but otherwise his body is showing amazing strength. Thank you so much to everyone. I can't express my gratitude enough.
