Eagle Scout Project Fundraiser

Hi, my name is Kaiden Lemken, I’m 15 years old. I’m from Boy Scout Troop 1038 and a member of The Order of the Arrow. I have been involved in Scouting since age 6. I have learned so much about being kind, courteous, helpful, loyal, and trustworthy.  I’m thankful for the teachings and opportunities Scouting has afforded me. Now with my Eagle Project, I can give back. I am working on earning my Eagle Scout. My project’s goal is to give 100 blessing backpacks to St Patrick Center in St. Louis. St Patrick Center is a charity that does tremendous work for homeless in and around the St. Louis area. In addition to providing shelter, they provide GED classes, life skill assistance and job training. They have an entire program geared towards helping homeless veterans as well. The Center has been helping people for over 35 years. In these backpacks I want to include socks, a reusable water bottle which Anderson Hospital has donated, personal hygiene products including bath wipes, toothbrushes, tooth paste, pens and paper, and nonparishable snacks. $2500 is my goal but any additional funds raised will allow me to gather even more items to be added to backpacks or even allow me to assemble more.
