Guppy Troup's Medical Fund
Donation protected
August 25, 2015 just another day in time but this was a day that changed Guppy's life forever. Guppy was home alone working outside when he suffered a stroke. Not even knowing what had happened to him he continued to work outside in the blazing heat. Several hours later Sherri came home to find him disoriented and unable to speak. This prompted a rush to the hospital. Unfortunately the damage had been done. Too much time had passed to reverse the brain damage. Over the next week Guppy was in an out of the hospital as the stroke continued to grow but finally stopped seven days later. Time in the hospital with many medical tests also revealed that Guppy has a severe heart condition where his heart does not pump out 60% of blood with each beat. His heart only pumps out 30%. Not only is he dealing with the effects of the stroke but visits to the Cardiologist to figure out what can be done to improve his heart function. Fast forward seven months later....Guppy continues with a heart problem with little improvement and no short term memory. Life style changes have been made and he manages day by day but those days of bowling and winning tournaments are just a memory in the past. The loss of income has created a hardship as all the doctor and hospital bills are coming due with very little paid by Medicare. So we are reaching out to all of you our bowling family and friends for help. All of the money received will be used to pay only the medical bills. Any donation is not too small and is very greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time.
