Bring Him Home

This beautiful boy is in Puerto Rico where aftercare/retirement programs are very limited and often the horses go from there to other island countries where there is not proper oversight. He has run a good bit and it is time for him to retire and find a new career but I need to get him to the United States to help him with that. I have been following him for some time as Kevin met him at Monmouth and thought he had a kind eye and a good demeanor. We had been told he was retiring then, but heard after that he had been shipped to Puerto Rico to race. I have gotten the trainer to agree to sell him to me, and I will get him to my farm to decompress and then will look to place him. I have to put out the money up front to buy him from the trainer and transport him home to America as well as quarantine to ensure that he has a chance for a life after racing. I will be working with an American aftercare program to whom I am sending the transport and quarantine money to ensure safe passage. I am buying him directly from the trainer. Whatever you can give to help me offset some of these costs will be greatly appreciated. If I raise more than what I put out, I will donate it to the program who pulls horses from the islands for the next horse who comes along as they did not have the money to help me with this guy right now.... I am always hesitant to ask for people to send me money directly, but I hope for your trust and understanding of this unique situation. Cost of vet care,
transport, and quarantine will likely be close to 4K and I am negotiating the price of the horse. He is currently running for a claiming tag of 4K - the trainer has come down, and I have agreed to purchase him for 3000K.
