Loss of a child

The unexpected death of a child is an unimaginable loss that no parent could prepare for and should never have to endure. Felicia and John Paul are experiencing a parents worst nightmare as they grieve the unexpected and tragic loss of their sweet almost 2 year old son Calum. Their day started normal with sweet smiles and squishy hugs and later received the worst phone call any parent could receive- their son was found unresponsive and not breathing at his daycare where he should’ve been safe. They spent several days praying and hoping for a miracle and holding on to any hope they possibly could, holding their son every chance they got. This family made the most difficult decision imaginable and selflessly donated Calum’s organs to save another child’s life.

While we cannot begin to imagine or take away their pain, we can help this young, loving family with the many financial burdens they now face. Please consider donating as they lay their son to rest and take the time away from work to grieve.

Felicia, John Paul and their entire family are incredibly grateful for the care and attention they received at Luries Children Hospital and would be so appreciative for any and all donations made to the family or the hospital.
