Help the Valdez family

There are times in life when things happen that one cannot comprehend. Things that are so unfathomable that they leave you as dumbfounded as they do heartbroken. In the early hours of September 15th our dear friend Fernando Valdez lost his battle with COVID and Heaven gained another angel. He was only 49 years old. He fought long and hard. He leaves behind an amazing wife, Leonor, and 2 amazing children- 18 year old Fernando and 16 year old Victoria. He also leaves behind his loving parents, sisters, brother, sister-in-law, nephew and family members, plus an immense group of friends who loved him and his family so much. Fernando was such a hard-working, kind, intelligent, funny and self-driven man. His dad called him the pillar of the family, because that’s exactly who he was. He was there for everyone whenever they needed him. He was so passionate about his work as an outstanding master electrician. He was self-made and created his company all on his own. He and Leonor worked so extremely hard every single day for their family and to give their children everything they needed. They made the huge sacrifice of having them in private school since they were very young to instill the Catholic faith in them because that was so important to them. Now that Fernando has been called to God so suddenly and unexpectedly, everyone who knew him has been left with such a huge hole in their hearts. Along with the pain of losing a loved one, you are also left with trying to figure out how you will continue without him, and as we all know, unfortunately the financial burden is immense. We, their close friends, decided to set up this GoFundMe page to help this amazing family with the now inevitably hard road ahead of them. They worked so extremely hard to pay all the bills and education costs every month without fail for their children. Now that they have lost Fernando’s income, it will be impossible for Leonor to do this on her own. She works around the clock as a well-known seamstress in San Antonio, but there wouldn’t be enough hours in the day for her to be able to do her line of meticulous work to make ends meet. We are hoping you can all come together as a community and help gather funds so Leonor and the family can have a solid financial base to help them as long as possible. She would never ask for help so we are taking it upon ourselves to help them because we know they need it. If you are able to give a monetary donation, please know that any amount is helpful. A little goes a long way. If you are not able to donate, then we simply ask that you continue praying for this exceptional family because their world has simply been turned upside down right now. Thank you all for the support!!! I always say, it goes a long way to be kind. Any little thing you do for someone can change their day or even their life. Never underestimate the power of prayer and generosity.
